Transcript of the intro video

The video is 1 minute long. A voice speaks in Dutch. The pictures are animated illustrations in navy, cream, orange, red and purple. For each scene, this page gives the picture, the Dutch text and an English translation.

  1. 0:00 to 0:11

A person sits at a laptop in bright sunlight from a window. The person tries to click a small, pale button. Then a second person, from behind, listens to a screen reader. On the screen, a page with grey image boxes. The focus jumps between the boxes.

Eén op de zes mensen heeft een beperking. Sommigen zijn visueel beperkt, en iedereen heeft wel eens fel zonlicht op het scherm. Voor hen werkt een website alleen als hij toegankelijk is.

1 in 6 people has a disability. Some have a visual impairment, and everyone sometimes has bright sunlight on the screen. For them, a website works only when it is accessible.

  2. 0:11 to 0:17

    The same scene continues.

Sinds 2025 vraagt de wet dat ook. De European Accessibility Act.

Since 2025 the law asks for it too. The European Accessibility Act.

  3. 0:17 to 0:25

A developer works at night in front of a monitor with lines of code in orange, cream and purple. Everything looks calm.

De developer schrijft de code. Zijn editor waarschuwt voor stijl en typfouten. Over toegankelijkheid zegt de editor niets.

The developer writes the code. The editor warns about style and typos. About accessibility, the editor says nothing.

  4. 0:25 to 0:39

Five slanted stripes in the colours of the Contrastic logo stand in a row: the steps of a release. A small red dot, the bug, moves from stripe to stripe and gets bigger. At the end, a stack of paper, the audit report, falls on a desk under a lamp. Orange coins roll around it.

Code. Pull request. Test. Staging. Productie. De fout reist ongezien mee. Pas maanden later vindt een audit hem. Dan is elke fout duur, en het team is al lang verder.

Code. Pull request. Test. Staging. Production. The bug travels along, unseen. Only months later does an audit find it. By then every bug is expensive, and the team has long moved on.

  5. 0:39 to 0:48

Many small robot hands type on floating panels of code. Small red dots copy themselves from panel to panel.

En nu schrijven AI-agents steeds meer code. Ze leren van het web, met al zijn fouten. Zonder feedback herhalen ze die, sneller dan ooit.

And now AI agents write more and more code. They learn from the web, with all its bugs. Without feedback they repeat them, faster than ever.

  6. 0:48 to 1:00

The five stripes again. A light moves back to the first stripes and the bug disappears there. The video ends with the Contrastic logo and the tagline on a navy background.

Wat als je de fout vindt op het moment dat je hem typt? Shift left. Contrastic. Vind fouten in toegankelijkheid terwijl je typt. Niet maanden later in een audit.

What if you find the bug the moment you type it? Shift left. Contrastic. Find accessibility problems while you type. Not months later in an audit.
